FUTURE OF GRADUATES, GRADUATED DURING COVID- 19 By the early 2020, Covid-19 pandemic had badly affected the whole world. Though every sector faced troubles and Inconvenience, our education system was the worst hit. Whether it be a student of primary school or a student in university, everyone faced trouble. In the darkness of pandemic online classes acted as light for students. Unfortunately, e-learning was not as efficient as it could have been, mainly due the lack of access to the technology and a right strategy. As we know graduation is a prestigious degree which demands highly qualified professors, dedicated students and a proper institution to provide an appropriate environment. During pandemic all colleges were closed with an uncertainty of opening. There were many students who had moved from their homes to another cities for studies and they mostly lived in hostels and rented accommodation, but sudden closure of colleges, caused a lot of trouble to them. They had no other option but to go back to their homes. When after a hiatus online classes were started, students had to adapt to this new mode of study. Not every student could adapt to this new reality and therefore different students took advantage of it differently. E-learning helped students to continue with their education in the time of crisis but because of uncertainty of the pandemic, it was very difficult for the government to take any decision with regards to conducting term end examinations of the students. Students who were in the final year of their college were very confused regarding their exam dates. Those who were in their internship period missed out many practical trainings which were very important for the better understanding of their jobs and responsibilities. No doubt it was very difficult time wading through the chaos created by the unexpected pandemic, but it has taught the humanity how to face the deadly pandemic together. This pandemic had set an example for students that they cannot depend on traditional way for studying. It took time but they recovered and continued studying efficiently. E-learning played a crucial role and our government also tried to help students so they could take advantage of this platform. These include PRAGYATA Guidelines on digital education, Internet access under BHARAT NET scheme, etc. This was mainly for students who lived in villages and remote areas. At the end our hard work and dedication assure us results. In this crisis few something came out good, as students learnt that they should take more responsibilities for their education. They got proper time to analyze their shortcomings and potentials, most importantly they got enough time for self-study. Students utilized online resources as Google, YouTube etc. and worked on their weak areas. It is going to be tough for those who wasted their precious time in waiting and did not make any effort. Students should now let bygones be bygones, the good thing is that we overcome. Pandemic taught us to be strong, independent, helpful and aware. Everyone around us faced the same situation and had to live in similar environment, therefore no one is at advantageous position and competition will be on the same level for all. Students should have confidence on themselves and keep trying to achieve what they want. ANKITA KUMARI
