Jammu and Kashmir: Aiming at the women empowerment Army launches a year long computer application course, for which 20 underprivileged girls have been selected from Jammu Kashmir’s Ramban district, informed officials on Tuesday.

The official continued that this is an ‘advance diploma in computer application’ year long course that will provide practical as well as theoretical understanding of computers to these girls, informed the official.

Whereas, this course is a package that includes various computer skills, basic computer knowledge of operating system, MS Office and Internet. The package has been envisaged in line with the Skill India and Digital India campaign of Government, informed the official.

After successful completion of course students will be awarded the certification of ‘Advance Diploma in Computer Application’. This course will open a door of opportunities for these students in higher education and jobs.
