Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2022 12th edition was conducted on December 9 and 10

The 12th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2022 took place on December 9 and 10, 2022, at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode. A hundred or more B-school executives, CXOs of organisations that provide education, top academicians, and business leaders attended the event, which was organised by MBAuniverse.com.

At the conclave and IMC awards, speakers included Shyam Srinivasan, CEO of Federal Bank, and Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and MD of Nestle India. Former Indian President Ram Nath Kovind addressed business school administrators, including numerous IIM Directors.

Ram Nath Kovind addressing the audience said, “The demands from B-schools are shifting dramatically. Faculty members play more than just the typical classroom teaching function. They need to be ‘inspired instructors’ who are explorers, facilitators, mentors, and guides. Additionally, it is time for B-schools to concentrate on fostering entrepreneurs who are job creators rather than job seekers since India needs more entrepreneurs and socially responsible business executives.”

IIM Kozhikode Director Dr Debashis Chatterjee gave a speech at the event as the host institution for the 12th edition of IMC. He said: “In the current climate it has become necessary for B-schools to focus on not just fulfilling MBA results but also redefining what we want from our MBAs. Indian B-schools need to focus on developing leaders who can solve problems, invent new things, and create jobs rather than merely preparing students for the corporate world. Given that these young brains have a lot more to contribute, he urged that MBA results should go beyond business placements and wage offers.”

IMC convenor and Chairman of MBAuniverse.com Amit Agnihotri said, “IMC is a heritage convention that has made an effort to maintain management education current and relevant. To guarantee that India continues to create the best management talent in the world, we are happy to offer a venue for perspective-sharing and in-depth talks with representatives from B-schools, industry leaders, regulators, and influencers. We appreciate Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji, the former president, for attending the event personally and Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the honourable minister for skill development and entrepreneurship, for his video message to the delegates.”

IMC Awards for Excellence in Management Education were presented as a crucial component of the IMC conference from a group of nominees based on jury selection. For media, research, and other agencies, a theme paper with the title Measuring Outcomes of MBA Education was published at IMC 2022.
