Ministry of Education provided the information that all variety of questions will be involved in the examination
In the CBSE class 10 examinations at least 40 percent of questions and in class 12 examinations, 30 percent will be competency-based, informed the Ministry of Education.
These questions will come in a variety of types, including case-based, assertion and reasoning, objective type, and construction response type.
Annapurna Devi, the Minister of State for Education, provided the information in response to a written question in the Lok Sabha.
She said, “In order to change the test format, CBSE has begun implementing competency-based questions in the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12. These inquiries come in a variety of formats, including case-based, assertion and reasoning, objective type, and constructing answer type.”
The minister stated that in the academic year 2022–2023, around 40% of Class 10 board examination questions and roughly 30% of Class 12 exam questions will be competency-based.
The minister added that the CBSE had encouraged affiliated schools to implement the suggestions about the educational pattern following the introduction of the new National Education Policy, 2020.
“The use of experiential and joyful learning pedagogies, such as art integrated education, sports integrated learning, storytelling, etc., emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy, and the introduction of qualified counsellors at the secondary and senior secondary level are prominent among these,” said the minister.
The academic year’s Class 10 and Class 12 theory exams will start on February 15, 2023. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet made the exam timetable public.
Some fake CBSE 2023 date sheets are circulating on social media. In response, an official of the CBSE board stated, “The multiple versions of date sheets doing the round are fake. The exam schedule will soon be announced and the students and parents should wait for official information.”
The board has already made the practice exams and scoring guidelines for CBSE Classes 10 and 12 available. All of the questions from all of the topics from the previous years are included in the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 sample papers.
