Mumbai: In a significant announcement aimed at supporting the youth of Maharashtra, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has unveiled the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana.’ The scheme is designed to provide financial assistance to young men who have completed various levels of education but are currently unemployed.
Under the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana,’ the Maharashtra government will provide monthly stipends to youths based on their educational qualifications. Specifically, 12th pass youths will receive ₹6,000 per month, diploma holders will be given ₹8,000 per month, and graduates will receive ₹10,000 per month.
Key Highlights of the “Ladla Bhai Yojana” Scheme:
- Financial Assistance: Monthly stipends of ₹6,000 for 12th pass youths, ₹8,000 for diploma holders, and ₹10,000 for graduates for one year.
- Eligibility: The scheme targets unemployed young men who have completed their education up to the specified levels.
- Additional Benefits: Besides financial support, the scheme will also offer internship opportunities to help beneficiaries gain work experience and improve their employability.
The scheme, modeled after the successful ‘Ladli Bahna Yojana,’ was announced on the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, following the Mahapuja at the Vitthal Temple in Pandharpur. This initiative has been lauded by various sectors as a positive step towards addressing unemployment and supporting the youth in the state.
