Speaking | 20 minutes | 6 tasks | Express an opinion on a familiar topic; speak based on reading and listening tasks. |
Writing | 50 minutes | 2 tasks | Write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks; support an opinion in writing. |
Preparation must be done for all 4 sections
3 START PREPARATION WITH SPEAKING SECTION:
The speaking section is pretty fast and needs a lot of practice. It is for a duration of 20 minutes which needs a lot of concentration.
It is not a conversation but the candidate has to speak the answer into the microphone as soon as the testers put forward the question. The answers are immediately recorded. The student has to be alert to give those answers. One has to learn to go with instinct. One must install a recording app in the mobile to learn to answer uniformly. The CD given has recorded examples which help to prepare well.
4 PREPARE NOTES FOR LISTENING SECTION:
Make notes of the lectures given to score good marks.
5 PREPARE THE WRITING SECTION LIKE THE GRE:
TOEFL is easier compared to GRE but one has to do an intensive study to avoid spelling and grammatical errors.
6 DO TWO READING SECTIONS BEFORE THE EXAMS:
The reading section is long so two should be practiced. The summary writing of the passage is tricky where people lose marks, so to avoid that practice writing.
A month is reasonable to prepare for TOEFL and one can easily score 100 to 110 out of 120 marks if one pays importance to English.
A scientific and methodical approach is required to get a good score.
