UP Government releases holiday list for year 2023

The Government declared 120 days of school vacations,
including 53 Sundays

The school year is coming to an end, and as the new year approaches, kids and parents eagerly await the list of school vacations for the future year. The Uttar Pradesh administration has finally issued the list of future holidays. Students can view the whole list of holidays here.

The administration of Uttar Pradesh has proclaimed 120 days of school holiday. A total of 53 Sundays are featured in this list. Along with these holidays, the UP-School Holiday List-2023 excludes summer and winter breaks after the end of the school year.

According to the list made public by the UP government, there will be a total of 25 public holidays in 2019. There are 24 dates set aside for limited holidays. In 2023, there will be only 11 holidays in each of October and November. In such a circumstance, Uttar Pradesh’s schools will remain closed on the announced dates (except for summer and winter breaks).

Meanwhile, here is a list of winter breaks in schools across the country.

KASHMIR AND JAMMU: While snow is already falling on the hill state’s slopes, the administration of Jammu and Kashmir has declared a three-month winter holiday for schools in the valley in anticipation of the arrival of winter. While schools from nursery to Class 5 will be closed on December 1, classes from 6 to 8 will be closed on December 12.

BENGAL, WEST: The West Bengal School Holiday 2022 has been scheduled for December 26, 2022. The West Bengal government, led by Mamata Banerjee, issued a notification and declared a state holiday on December 26, the day following Christmas. Official orders state that all government offices, educational institutions, and other offices would be closed on December 26.

RAJASTHAN: During the winter, Rajasthan schools would be closed for 12 days. The state’s winter break will begin on December 25 and will last until January 5, 2023. This year, the Rajasthan Board of Education has raised the number of days in winter break while decreasing the number of days in summer vacation.
