Samsung India to hire around 1000 from IITs and other top institutes

Around 200 engineers would be hire from different IIT’s across country

Samsung India intends to hire approximately 1,000 engineers for its R&D facilities across the country. Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore, Samsung R&D Institute Noida, Samsung R&D Institute Delhi, and Samsung Semiconductor India Research in Bengaluru are among the branches that will be employed.

As part of this initiative, Samsung R&D centres would engage around 200 engineers from prominent IITs including IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, and IIT BHU. They’ve also made over 400 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) to students at IITs and other prestigious universities.

Computer Science and allied areas (AI/ML/Computer Vision/VLSI, for example), Information Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems and Communication Networks, Mathematics and Computing, and Software Engineering will all be hired.

The new employees will be joining in 2023. They will be working on a variety of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, IoT, Connectivity, Cloud, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analysis, Communication Networks, System on a Chip (SoC), and Storage Solutions.

The Head of Human Resources at Samsung India said, “Samsung’s R&D centres strive to hire new talent from India’s best engineering institutes to work on breakthrough breakthroughs, technologies, products, and designs, including India-centric innovations, that enrich people’s lives.” This will help us achieve our goal of “Powering Digital India.”

However, till day nine of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay placement season 2022-23, over 1,500 offers had been made. Students accepted 1,224 of the total offers made up to this point, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). This year, over 400 domestic and foreign organisations have registered with IIT Bombay, offering over 100 unique profiles.

Organizations from the United States, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Netherlands, and Singapore offered a total of 71 international offers, with 63 accepted by students. Overall, 25 students accepted job offers with annual salaries above Rs 1 Crore.
